Considered by some to be the Holy Grail of JBL's consumer speaker line, these imposing marriage-busters should require a permit to play in any room smaller than an amphitheater. Okay, you can probably tell that I don't know much about these.
My friend, Steve sent the pic, so if you have more info, stories, or photos for the JBL XPL-200, leave a comment or email them to me.
Hi there Audio Freak, I have a set of XPL-90's (currently on sale) and an original !JBL XPL series sales folder. Would you like me to make a PDF scan from it? I'm living in Holland.
i had a pair nice speakers but you need the dx.1 active crossover for them to really sing ,they prefer solid state to valves. personaly i prefer the L series ie L110,s L150,s and L300,s
I remember listening to a pair of these around 1990. Awesome sounding speakers with so much detail in the midrange. I couldnt afford them and went the L100T3 route instead(same 2214 bass driver)....but these were always on my wish list. As good as these were i still think the 250Ti series would be regarded as the holy grail of JBLs consumer line. I currently run a pair of those...but still lust after some XPL200s.
I play for years now with these speakers. I owned a lot of different speakers, but this one's doing the trick. I have also the dx-1 crossover. I play the low with a bose 1801 amp. That really rocks. Fine, very fine speakers.
