Best Thrift Store Finds of All Time! #5 - Teledyne Acoustic Research AR 11 - $25

I bought these and one of the surrounds ended up being rotten and a tweeter was blown. I ended up saving the caged mids - very unusual with HUGE magnets. These are the successors to the AR3's, but other than that I don't know much about them. Any info is appreciated and will be posted :)  Thanks.

Best Thrift Store Finds of All Time! #4 - Wharfedale Achromatic - $35

I didn't buy these, just took the photos. Too many BIG speakers in my inventory forced me to turn down some that would have been fun to try out. 

The Achromatic Series, according to THIS AudioKarma post included several models and were produced in the late 1960s to early 1970s. I didn't see a model designation on these. Dig those purple tweeters and cobalt midrange dustcap! Groovy!

Best Thrift Store Finds of All Time! #3 - Pioneer CLD-91 $30

Yes, bought this for $30 this past Winter and eventually traded it for some JBL bookshelf speakers. It seems to me that it didn't read CD/R disks, so was essentially useless to me. No remote either, but hey - for that price, who cares?

Best Thrift Store Finds of All Time! #2 - Technics SA-5760 Receiver -$30

Whaaaa?  A "working" Technics SA-5760 receiver for $30? Yeah. . .I'll take it! The knobs alone are worth $40! 165 watts per channel, classic 70s styling. The cabinet was a little dingy, but that's why God invented Simple Green :) Sounded great!
